Lily is a gentle old soul who is looking for a soft place to land and someone to enjoy the slower side of life with. This sweet girl is well past her days of roughhousing, zoomies, and wild adventures. These days, Lily prefers a much more relaxed lifestyle. She's happy to join you for a super short stroll, but her favorite activity is simply being outside in the yard, finding a comfortable spot to lay down, and soaking up the sunshine. She loves nodding off in the warm sun, and we can't think of anything sweeter than watching this precious girl enjoy her afternoon naps. Lily isn't one to demand your attention, either. Instead, she'll politely walk over, rest her head in your lap, and wait for you to give her some love. She's just looking for a little affection, a comfy place to rest, and someone to spend her golden years with. Lily would make the perfect couch potato companion for someone who appreciates the quieter things in life. She doesn't need a busy household or endless entertainment. A soft couch, a cozy bed, a sunny yard, and a family who adores her would be her dream come true! Because she prefers a calm environment, Lily would do best in a home without children or with older kids who understand how to respectfully interact with dogs and give her space when she needs it. While we wish we knew more about her past, what we do know is that Lily deserves to spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and love. Senior dogs have such a special kind of love to give, and Lily is no exception. She isn't asking for much, just someone willing to give an older girl a chance. Lily is estimated to be around 9 years old and weighs 57 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30-day flea/tick preventative.
