About Big Bopper

Big Bopper, aka Devo, is located in Texas and ready for adoption. This 3-year-old, 52-pound neutered American Bully is an absolute charmer, brimming with personality and affection. Rescued from a Houston shelter just in time, he’s currently fostered in Austin, Texas, and is looking for a family that can provide him with the love and playtime he craves. Bopper lives for fun and is completely toy-obsessed, whether it's balls, ropes, or stuffies. He's a playful guy who loves a good game of fetch, tug, or simply running around with his toys. He thrives on being part of family activities and brings a cheerful energy wherever he goes. He is dog-friendly, currently living with several dogs and doing well with them. However, he can be a bit excitable and is still learning the right boundaries, so a home with a well-balanced dog would help him refine his social skills. Bopper is crate-trained but might express himself with some initial barking before settling down. Since he is enthusiastic and strong, it’s best to have older kids (12 or above) who understand how to interact with a spirited dog like him. As a brachycephalic breed, keep in mind that Bopper can be snorty and needs a family that is mindful of his breathing, especially during hotter days. Short walks and regular breaks are essential to keep him comfortable. If you’re looking for a lively, loving companion to brighten your days, Big Bopper could be the perfect match.
