Addison is a young, medium-sized female German Shepherd with a beautiful sable coat. Spayed and fully vaccinated, she is house trained and crate trained. Addison has special needs due to her past surgeries for hip dysplasia. Currently in Vandergrift, PA, she remains ready for a loving home where her patience and boundaries will be respected.

About ADDISON tinycauseadopt@gmail.com

Addison is a 1-year-old German Shepherd who has faced more challenges in her young life than many dogs do in a lifetime. For the past year, she has been with us, healing from hip dysplasia. Both of her hips underwent surgery, but Addison has shown incredible resilience through it all. This girl is spayed, current on vaccines, house trained, and crate trained — she actually enjoys relaxing in her crate and will eat her meals there. Addison loves playing fetch and cuddling in bed, especially when it comes with belly rubs. However, she’s not the type to warm up immediately to new people or dogs. Addison needs time to build trust, and potential adopters should be prepared for multiple meet-and-greets. Someone with experience in handling German Shepherds and a great deal of patience will be the right fit for her. Small children are not suitable for her, and her comfort around new faces must always be taken into account. Addison once had a home ready but, unfortunately, the timing didn't work out. After nearly a year with us, we are seeking someone truly special who understands that building trust takes time. They should be willing to let Addison show her loving and playful side once she feels secure. After all her hard work in learning to trust, she deserves a forever home that honors her journey.
