Penny is a 4-month-old female hound/Shepherd mix looking for her forever home. She may be shy at first, but she quickly warms up to those she trusts. Penny is learning to walk on a leash and is mostly housetrained, though she has the occasional accident due to her puppy stage. She has a friendly disposition towards other dogs and enjoys playing with them, making her a great companion for a household that already has pets. Penny gets along well with children, too. That said, she’s in her chewing phase, so watch out for those phone chargers! After spending a good chunk of time with her litter, Penny prefers not to be left alone, which is why she'll thrive in a home with another young dog. A fenced yard would be ideal for her to romp around and grow into the best canine companion she can be. Though she’s still young, there's no doubt that with love and training, Penny will learn commands and be your best friend. She'll be ready to go home after 9/28.
