Maddie is a 10-year-old female Westie who found her way to our rescue after her previous owner could no longer provide the care she needs. As a special needs dog, she is diabetic and has cataracts affecting her vision, but this doesn’t hold her back from being a loyal companion. Maddie is incredibly sweet and loves to be close to her people. Currently fostered in Raleigh, NC, Maddie shares her space with two other dogs and enjoys their company. She isn’t overly affectionate but feels comforted following her foster parents around and snuggling nearby. A calm home would be ideal for her; she would thrive with someone who is retired or works from home, providing the companionship she craves. Maddie loves her daily walks and sunbathing in the yard, moments she eagerly anticipates each day. Some adoption requirements for Maddie include a fully enclosed fenced yard, no children under 10, and the ability to manage her insulin injections.
