About Ripley
Ripley is a remarkable Dutch Shepherd who is about a year old and has recently escaped a dire fate, having been rescued just moments before euthanasia. This energetic boy was let down by his previous owner, who couldn’t dedicate the time needed to help him become the stellar dog he’s destined to be. Luckily, he is now with an incredible foster parent who is helping him gain weight and enjoy the care he deserves as he prepares for his new life. Ripley thrives on playtime and gets along wonderfully with his foster’s younger dog. He’s also respectful towards humans, even when he’s reluctant to go into his crate. After learning where to take care of business outside, he has impressively mastered holding it in and even rings a bell when he needs to go out. Ripley is becoming more confident with the older dog in his foster home, facing some challenges possibly due to his recent neutering, but he’s adaptable and eager to learn. We are looking for a home for Ripley that either has another submissive and playful dog or an active family who can give him all the attention he craves as an only dog. He weighs 68 lbs now but should ideally reach around 75 lbs. While Ripley has interacted well with smaller dogs, we will only approve homes with larger dogs to ensure compatibility. He’s up to date on vaccines and parasite preventatives. What he needs now is a loving family to help him find his happily ever after! Ripley is currently fostered near Dallas, Texas. We offer virtual meet-and-greets to ensure he’s a great fit for your family, and if approved, we can arrange transportation to you. Ready to give Ripley the loving home he deserves?
