Meet Boomshakalaka—better known as Boom! True to his lively name, this one-year-old, 50-pound Mountain Cur mix is bursting with energy and personality. Boom is the type who brings the party wherever he goes, loving playdates with other dogs and never missing a chance for some good human company. After romping around the yard with a squeaky toy, he’ll flop right beside you on the couch, content and happy. Boom is already neutered, crate trained, house trained, and does well on a leash. He enjoys training sessions, especially if treats are involved, and knows how to "sit" on command. Volunteers describe him as a shelter favorite—there's just something about his eager, goofy charm. He's considered medium-to-high energy, so a house with a yard and an active routine will keep him happiest. Boom would thrive in a home with another playful dog, but his bouncy, mouthy nature means he’s better suited for homes without young children. His feelings about cats remain a mystery for now.
