About Barney
Barney is a sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix looking for a fresh start filled with love and snuggles. At three years old, he weighs around 11 lbs and has a kind, gentle demeanor. Rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina, Barney has not had much early socialization but is making great strides in foster care. He gets along well with other dogs and needs a welcoming resident dog to help him adjust. Though he’s still a bit shy around new people, he’s showing improvement; he enjoys exploring the city and is starting to bond with his foster mom. Barney’s ideal home is one where he can feel safe and cherished. He would thrive with patient adopters who can introduce him to new experiences at his pace. He’s discovered the joy of playtime with toys and loves to run and wrestle with his foster dog companions. Adopting him means gaining a loyal buddy who will appreciate the love and comfort of a home. If you can offer him the time and care he needs, you might just find the perfect furry companion in Barney! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
