About Barney

Barney is a charming 2-year-old male mixed-breed dog, likely with some Labrador Retriever and possibly Great Dane in his lineage. He was found with his companion pair, Betty, in Marietta, Ohio, where a kind stranger took them in while trying to locate their owner. With his striking white coat adorned with black spots and his endearing black-and-white face, Barney catches the eye. He sports semi-erect ears and a happy demeanor, always wagging his tail, which has resulted in a few scrapes from the kennel walls due to his enthusiasm. Barney is energetic and enjoys his leash walks, weighing in at 50 lbs of fun. He’s known for being great with children and other dogs, although he doesn’t get along with cats. Riding in cars is also something he enjoys. Unfortunately, after the mandatory stray hold period, no one came to reclaim him, and now he’s looking for a forever home. You won’t regret giving Barney a chance; he’s ready to bring joy into your life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
