About Waylon

Meet Waylon! Waylon is an engaging 10-month-old, 24-pound tricolor Texas Heeler with a playful and goofy personality. This handsome fellow is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm-negative, and stays up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Waylon has mastered house, crate, and leash training, making him a pretty well-adjusted pup. He thrives in an environment where his playful nature is understood. Though he enjoys playtime, he can get mouthy and nippy, common traits in herding breeds. Therefore, families with older children are recommended since he can jump and nip when excited. While Waylon is great at making doggy friends, he can be a bit pushy and might not appreciate dogs invading his space. A slow introduction and time to adjust will be key in helping him feel at home. Be cautious with toys, as he tends to guard them and may growl or snap if another dog shows interest. This charming boy seems to bond especially well with women and will thrive with consistent training and patience. A fenced yard would help him feel secure, but it’s not essential since he enjoys his walks on a leash. While he might have a few accidents during the adjustment period, he’s more than ready to shower his new family with love and joy. Waylon is located in Luttrell, TN. Transportation can be arranged for an additional fee. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
