About Norte
Norte is a 7-month-old male Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix with a striking black coat and a small white patch on his chest. This sweet boy arrived at the shelter alongside his siblings, Elle and Charro, after they were found wandering near El Charro Norte in Chino Valley, likely abandoned. Initially very frightened, Norte was shy and needed to be humanely trapped for safety. Amongst his siblings, Norte is the most timid. He requires a patient adopter who understands that building trust will take time. While Elle and Charro have started to come out of their shells, Norte still hesitates around people. With love and a safe environment, he has great potential to thrive. Using treats and gentle encouragement can help him open up. Norte interacts well with other dogs, making him suitable for a home with canine companions, though his experience with cats is currently unknown. He has received his first DAPP vaccination and will need two more boosters through his adopter. Heβs scheduled to be neutered, microchipped, and receive a rabies vaccine in December. An adopter interested in Norte will need to assist with his transportation for this vet visit. While he may not be the puppy that rushes up to you, earning Norte's trust could lead to a heartwarming bond. Sometimes those who require a bit of extra patience offer the most rewarding relationships. Could you be the one to help him shine?
