About Autumn

Meet Autumn! This sweet 4-year-old yellow Lab mix weighs about 50 lbs. She’s incredibly easygoing and loves to either lounge on the couch or snuggle in bed with you. Autumn arrived at the shelter through no fault of her own, as her family didn't have time for her anymore. Transitioning from a home to a noisy shelter was tough, making her a bit shy at first, but she quickly adapted once she found a quieter space. As a tripod, with her front right leg amputated before she came to us, Autumn moves with surprisingly ease. She enjoys her outdoor time and is an excellent loose-leash walker! At mealtime, she can hardly contain her excitement, especially for cheese and ham. Watching her discover how to be a dog is heartwarming; whether she's squeaking a toy or chasing a ball, she often returns to the couch to relax. Autumn is friendly with other dogs and was at ease with her foster siblings from the start. She hasn’t been introduced to cats or kids yet. She’s also potty trained, never having an accident in the house. At night, she sleeps in her kennel but prefers being loose in the house during the day. Autumn would thrive in a calm environment, whether with a dog companion or as the only pet soaking up all your attention.
