About Carmelo
Carmelo is a vibrant 2-year-old Chihuahua mix looking for a new home after being surrendered by his family. With energy to spare, he would thrive in a fenced backyard where he can engage in play with both kids and adults. However, due to his playful tendency to be a little mouthy, it's best that he's not placed in a home with very young children. It's ideal for adopters to be familiar with Chihuahuas, as these little pups can sometimes have bold personalities. Carmelo is affectionate and needs a family that will help him socialize and feel secure in the world. He's a well-behaved companion in the car, content to either sit or lie down in his seat during rides. This little guy loves to play with toys and enjoys adventurous walks, surprisingly fast despite his tiny legs. He likes to snuggle up when it's time to sleep. Currently, heβs crate-trained and adapts well to an airline crate, having previously chewed through a wire one. Although he lives with other dogs, he can be a bit assertive. He appreciates plenty of attention and, while he should not live with a cat due to his assertive nature, he's perfectly happy being the center of attention. Interested adopters are encouraged to complete an application, as Carmelo is excited to find his perfect match.
