Oscar Meet Oscar, a loyal, curious twelve-year-old Chihuahua and certified couch potato who weighs ten pounds! He treasures his sleep more than any dog his foster has ever known. Most mornings, he’s cuddled up and knocked out in his bed until someone gently wakes him, and it’s so cute! Oscar is quiet, gentle, and cool around people, and he’s adjusting well to life in the Bronx. When other dogs bark at him, he just calmly approaches his furry neighbors. He’s potty trained, chill when left alone, and respectful of his space at home. On walks, he loves stepping on crunchy fall leaves. He’s also patient and easygoing at bath time. He’s low energy and independent, but he loves attention. When he wants a belly rub, he’ll stare at you until you give him one. Put him on the couch next to you and he’ll happily snooze or watch TV by your side. He LOVES food and treats, and treat-based toys and tricks are his favorite. The more time you spend with him, the more his quirky, playful side comes out! Oscar would do best in a calm home with someone who wants a gentle, loyal cuddle buddy. He’s a great fit for apartment living. What his foster says about him: “What makes him a great companion is his love for cuddles, belly rubs, how gentle and loyal he is. He’s truly a precious furry friend!” Oscar previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before traveling north. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
