Meet Artemis — A Little Love Could Change His Whole World Artemis is just one year old, and there's something a little heartbreaking about knowing that this sweet boy may not have experienced much of the love every dog deserves. We don't know much about his first year. We don't know whether anyone ever made a fuss over him, told him he was a good boy, or made him feel like he was somebody's whole world. What we do know is that Artemis is ready for a new chapter. This handsome Bearded Collie/Terrier mix weighs about 28 pounds and has a gentle, somewhat shy personality. He may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet nature begins to shine. Artemis gets along wonderfully with other dogs, walks beautifully on a leash, and is one smart little fellow. We believe he may already be housetrained, but if he needs a little help, we're confident he'll catch on quickly. He's not the kind of dog who's going to immediately climb into your lap and shower you with kisses. Affection is something he's still learning to understand. And maybe that's the most touching thing about him. Imagine being the person who teaches Artemis that a gentle hand means kindness. That coming home means someone is happy to see him. That love isn't something he has to earn. He's only a year old. He has an entire lifetime ahead of him. Artemis doesn't need someone to feel sorry for him. He needs someone to love him. And wouldn't it be wonderful to be the person who shows him what that means? Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport. Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
