MEET BEAR He's a 6-month-old German Shepherd mix, 50 pounds of pure love and growing—and currently accepting applications for a best friend. Underneath that handsome shepherd exterior? One very sweet puppy figuring out the world and hoping you'll come along for the ride. YOUR NEW SHADOW. Bear loves his people. A loud noise might make him hesitate, but having someone he trusts nearby helps him find his courage. The world can feel pretty big when you're still little. Emotionally little, anyway. Physically, we're pushing 50 pounds. ADVENTURE BUDDY IN TRAINING. Barn trips? Yes. Hikes? Absolutely. A trip to the lake? He's already packing. Bear loves being included, even when the adventure is just figuring out what a sunroof does. BRAINS TO MATCH THE GOOD LOOKS. He's a smart boy with so much potential. He'd thrive with someone who understands shepherds and enjoys teaching, building confidence, and helping a big puppy turn into a great dog. PLAYDATES ENCOURAGED. Bear loves playing with Tilly and making dog friends. He can be a little awkward when meeting new male dogs, so thoughtful introductions help him get comfortable. Even handsome boys need a minute to figure out how to say hello. CATS ARE A WORK IN PROGRESS. Bear currently thinks cats look like potential toys. He's improving his impulse control, but still needs supervision and guidance around feline roommates. The cats would like that clearly stated. STILL LEARNING THE HOUSE RULES. He's working on potty training and needs a patient person who can give him a consistent routine. He's got a lot of growing up to do—and deserves someone willing to help him through it. Bear doesn't have everything figured out yet. He's still learning what's scary, what's exciting, and what absolutely does not belong in his mouth. But loving his people? He's already pretty good at that. HE JUST NEEDS SOMEONE TO LOOK AT HIM AND SAY, “THAT'S MY BOY.” If you're ready for a little puppy chaos, a lot of love, and a best friend to share your adventures with, Bear would love to meet you.
