Diablo is in foster after being in the shelter for many months recovering from his medical needs and getting acclimated to his new life. He is approximately 4 years old. In the months he's been in foster, he has inched towards being a loving, relaxed, playful, very sleepy boy. He does show protective behavior sometimes for his human. It is a spicy reactive side to him that needs patience, encouragement, and time to understand his new environment and routine. He has been excellent living with another dog so he certainly can share a home with the right doggie sibling. He also would do wonderfully being the only dog in the home. He loves socks and laundry wool balls, barking at squirrels, laying in the sun, roaming the garden, and being a security guard for the house. He is excellent on-leash and loves to go on his daily walks. Don't be frightened too much if he is reactive, because he only has half of his jaw, which is why his adorable smile looks the way it does...he is the definition of all bark no bite. The more time goes by, the more Diablo feels safe and will show his personality and be the adorable little potato he is. He is currently taking allergy medication which should be considered, if needed, according his new home/environment. Diablo will require extra time and attention to ensure a smooth transition, but he is the sweetest and most loyal boy once he earns your trust. He will be worth it. Any meet ups for adoption have potential to cause reactivity behavior but we will manage the interactions with the most possible respect and patience for everyone.
