Do you want to be a part of a dog's story? Because boy does Remphrey have one to tell. Remphrey is an approximately 4-5-year-old Pitbull whose gentle spirit captured the hearts of everyone who helped save him. He came to SNAP with a severe degloving injury to his lower jaw and was named in memory of Jeannessa, a young veterinary technician and animal advocate who was murdered one year before (almost to the day). His name means “counsel and peace,” which could not suit him better. Remphrey is housebroken, crate trained, easy on leash, and exceptionally polite in the home. He loves children and people, rides beautifully in the car, and does well with respectful dogs. He is also cat friendly. He enjoys playing ball and tug, sunbathing by a bright window, and climbing onto the furniture only when invited. Once there, he settles against you like a hippo taking a nap. Remphrey has healed from his jaw injury and has an upcoming ophthalmology appointment for lingering eye irritation caused by debris. He is a slightly lumpy, deeply loving companion who snores loudly, smiles when called a good boy, and must be tucked in with a soft blanket every night. That part is nonnegotiable.
