About Poppa
Big Poppa is a six-year-old, 70-pound pit bull who has come a long way from a rough beginning. After being rescued from a heartbreaking situation, he’s settled into foster care and is thriving. Poppa’s spirit is bright—he’s joyful, loving, and greets everyone with a wagging tail. His recent neuter and a loss of 10 pounds have him looking and feeling his best. Years spent outside show in his joints and teeth, but you wouldn’t know it from his friendly personality. Poppa gets along with everyone he meets, happily spending time with both large and small dogs. He loves walks, rides well in the car, and takes the title of “world-class cuddler” seriously. He’s gentle, affectionate, and has a knack for winning over even those unfamiliar with pit bulls. Poppa fits into most routines—a walking buddy, a companion for downtime, and a source of unconditional loyalty. At six, he’s through with puppy chaos but still has many good years to come. Poppa would thrive in a loving home where he can finally relax and truly be part of a family. He gets along with dogs, cats, and children, making him a great fit for a variety of households.
