A LITTLE LOVE, A LOT OF HOPE FOR RUTHIE! After everything this sweet girl has endured, we have one simple wish for Ruthie: that her next chapter is filled with love, comfort, and the happiness every dog deserves. At 8 years old, Ruthie should be spending her golden years curled up in a cozy bed, enjoying delicious meals, gentle affection, and the security of knowing she is finally home. Ruthie has made it through so much. She has received treatment for scabies and is no longer contagious! Her beautiful coat is beginning to grow back, and with continued good nutrition, proper care, and a little TLC, she has so much healing and blossoming ahead of her. Yes, Ruthie is heartworm positive. Yes, she may need a little extra patience and medical care. But please don't let those things overshadow the wonderful girl waiting beneath it all. She is so much more than her medical history or the condition of her coat. She is a life worth loving, a heart worth cherishing, and a senior girl who deserves the chance to know what it feels like to truly belong. We can't change Ruthie's past, but together, we can help make her future beautiful. Imagine her finally having her very own person. Someone who sees her beauty, kisses her grey muzzle, makes sure she has a soft place to sleep, and reminds her every single day that she is safe and loved. Could you be that person for Ruthie? If you are interested in giving Ruthie the loving home she deserves, please visit secondstartrescue.org. And if you can't adopt, please SHARE her story. You never know whose heart her beautiful face might touch. Ruthie's happily ever after is still waiting to be written. Let's help her find it.
