Meet Ebony, a six-year-old, 45-pound dog who has been at Casa McKibben for several years after being surrendered by her previous family. She is friendly, affectionate, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Ebony is house-trained, crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys spending time with people. She still likes to play but is equally happy relaxing on the couch. Ebony is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and has no known health issues. We aren’t certain about her breed but suspect there’s some Labrador Retriever in her family tree. Because she has chased chickens in the past, she needs a home without chickens or other vulnerable poultry. Ebony is ready for a permanent home where she can be part of a family. Despite her many good qualities, she continues to be overlooked, and we hope someone will give her the opportunity she deserves. There is no adoption fee, but prospective adopters will be screened to ensure a safe, lasting placement. Qualified foster homes are also welcome. Casa McKibben is located in Cameron, Texas.
