Meet Toothless! 1 year old Female Spayed Vaccinated 25 lbs Don’t let her name fool you! Toothless may be named after a dragon, but this 25-pound girl is nothing but pure love! Toothless is a happy, affectionate girl who enjoys playing with other dogs, chasing toys, and running around the yard. She has a medium energy level and strikes a wonderful balance between playtime and relaxation. She loves a slow morning filled with cuddles and is always happy to end her day curled up on her human’s lap. She’s already got some great manners! Toothless is both potty trained and kennel trained. She may have a few things to say when first settling into her kennel, but she quiets down after a few minutes. She knows her basic commands, including come, sit, and down. Like many young dogs, Toothless is still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting new people and improving her leash-walking skills. She’s eager to learn and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and consistency. A few things her future family should know: * Dogs: Absolutely! Toothless loves canine friends and enjoys having other dogs to play with. * Cats: She hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, so slow, supervised introductions would be important. * Food: Toothless has shown some resource guarding around her food bowl. Her foster has been working with her by feeding her in her kennel using a slow feeder. This routine has helped tremendously. She now waits for her release cue before eating and allows some gentle interaction while eating, although she may still growl if someone attempts to move her bowl before she’s finished. She takes treats gently, even around other dogs. Her future family should continue her established feeding routine, respect her space while eating, and work on this behavior through positive reinforcement. Toothless would love a home with a securely fenced backyard or an active person who enjoys daily walks and games of fetch. But don’t worry, she isn’t looking for adventure 24/7. Once she’s gotten her playtime in, she’s perfectly content snuggling up with her favorite person.
