About Basil

Basil is a lovely long-haired tabby with a soft coat and gentle eyes, sporting an charming half tail that adds to her uniqueness. After losing her owner, she and her siblings sheltered in a garage until rescue stepped in. Now, Basil seeks a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and start to thrive. This sweet girl is a bit shy, preferring gentle pets and quiet interactions over demanding attention. With patience, kindness, and a peaceful routine, she’s bound to gain confidence. Basil enjoys soft touches, playing with other cats, and finding cozy spots to watch the world go by. For Basil’s ideal home, her new family should have another friendly cat or adopt one of her fellow rescue cats. A patient adopter who understands shy cats and will allow her to settle in at her own pace is essential. She craves a tranquil environment and a kind heart to help her blossom into the loving companion she can become. Basil tested positive for FIV, but don’t let that frighten you; FIV+ cats can lead full, happy lives alongside non-FIV cats under the right circumstances. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. All our pets come with a "Go Home Goody Bag" filled with essentials for a smooth transition to their new home. If you have a gentle atmosphere and another kitty to keep her company, Basil might just be your perfect match. Click apply to start the adoption process.
