Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement-Kennel License #2617 **Due to Luna needing spayed, her adoption will not be finalized until on or after: TBD Could she do well with kids? Yes, with children around 6 years old, on a kid-by-kid basis. Could she do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis. Has this dog lived with cats? No. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not "cat test" dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian's Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.] --- Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Luna was playful and curious during her assessment, primarily focused on sniffing her surroundings rather than walking on the leash. She occasionally jumped up playfully and showed interest in my activities while indoors. During handling, Luna sought interaction, even climbing halfway into my lap. She approached unfamiliar things cautiously, though she remained stable around sudden sounds. She demonstrated some training, responding to cues like "sit," "down," and "shake," but was inconsistent with redirection, especially when food was involved. While she wasn't keen on direct play, she showed brief interest in toys, particularly a tennis ball. Luna was excited to meet new people but took time to relax around another dog.
