My name is Stella, and I’m a 6-year-old Black Lab. I weigh about 45 pounds, which is perfect for zooming around my favorite place in the whole world: our big, fenced backyard. Oh, how I love to run! My ears flap in the wind, and my tail wags so hard it’s a blur. The best part of running is when my Human throws my squeaky tennis ball. I could chase that thing all day long! Or my chewy rope – that’s my absolute favorite toy. We play tug-of-war, and even though my Human is strong, I always give it my best effort. Car rides are another thing I really, really enjoy. The wind rushing through my fur, the smells of the world whipping by... it’s almost as good as a good long run. My Human is my whole world. I love them more than anything. Sometimes, new humans come over, and I just need a little time to get used to them. I might hide behind my Human at first, but once I see they’re nice and my Human likes them, I warm up. And then, I love them just as much! Being the only dog in the house is pretty good for me. I’ve met other dogs in the yard before, and that’s okay for short bursts, but home is my special place, and I like having it all to myself with my Human. Life is pretty simple and happy for me. Run, play, car rides, cuddles with my Human. That’s the best kind of life for a girl like me.
