Dog's Name: Cali (CAL1026OTHFD) Estimated Breed: Spaniel mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 20 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Cali! Looking for a sweet, happy companion to bring a little extra sunshine into your life? Meet Cali, a lovely young Spaniel mix who is ready to find a loving forever home to call her own. We believe she is a Boykin Spaniel, and is great with other dogs, and has all the makings of a wonderful family companion. She is working on refreshing her housetraining, loves to cuddle but does not walk well on a leash and will need a patient owner to help her work through her leash fear. She would be best placed with older kids as she can still be puppy nippy! Whether she's joining you for everyday adventures, spending time with her favorite people, or simply enjoying the comforts of home, Cali is ready to be part of the pack. Could Cali be the happy addition your family has been waiting for? Apply to adopt Cali today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
