About Buttercup

Buttercup is a sweet and playful 7.5-year-old lady looking for her forever home in Fairfax, VA. This small, spayed female, who's a mix of Dachshund and Spaniel, thrives in a calm environment and enjoys spending time with her people. While she tolerates other dogs, she often prefers to be the only pet, ensuring she gets all the love and attention. She gets a bit overwhelmed around small children, so an ideal home would have kids over six who know how to engage her playfully. Buttercup has a few tricks up her sleeve, like Sit and Lay Down, and she loves playtime with her favorite puzzles and bully sticks. Though she's housebroken, she does experience some anxiety when left alone for too long, so a home with consistent visitors would be best for her. Buttercup dislikes loud noises, care rides, and a bustling home full of new people. A calm, nurturing environment will allow her to blossom into the wonderful companion she is. If you think you can provide her the calm home she craves, fill out the questionnaire to meet this lovely girl!
