Meet Nala! Nala arrived in our care seeking a fresh start after she didn’t get along with other cats. This sensitive lady weighs 17 pounds and is eager for a calm, predictable home environment. Once she feels secure, you'll find her settling down close to you for cozy evenings of your favorite shows or while you immerse yourself in a good book. She thrives in a low-stress setting where she can have her nap spot on the couch, a quiet place to retreat when feeling nervous, and a routine she can rely on. Nala will benefit greatly from a structured schedule that includes meal times and gentle play, helping her work toward a healthier weight. Although she adores affection, Nala likes to dictate the mood. Expect her to be vocal, sharing her feelings and needs with you throughout the day. As she is currently overweight, helping her move about comfortably is essential—pet steps and non-slip surfaces would be appreciated. Nala will also need a low-sided litter box and easy access to it, along with a second box if possible, all kept tidy to meet her high standards.
