About Mac

Meet Mac! Mac is a gentle giant who has recently transitioned into our care after facing challenges with other cats. Weighing in at 17 pounds, he thrives on attention and affection from his favorite humans. He's ready to bring warmth and companionship to a new home, especially on chilly nights, where he can be the sole feline to cuddle up with. This sociable fella loves being around people, though he’ll appreciate if you avoid the notorious "belly trap." Mac might take on the role of a gracious host, greeting guests and engaging in light conversation. Once the festivities wind down, he’ll enjoy curling up with you for a long, restful night. While he cherishes his time with you, Mac also values his privacy and will need a secure, high perch for some alone time and a vantage point to observe his domain. Because of his size, it’s important for Mac to receive help with a healthy routine. Playtime and a nutritious diet will support his journey to optimal health, while gentle daily brushing will keep his coat looking its best. Mac has done well with dogs and older children in the past but is seeking a home without other cats.
