Intake Date: 10/27/2026 Intake Type: Surrender DOB: 10/27/2020 Energy Level: Medium Weight: 66lbs Typically, we would let the dog tell their story here, but Harley deserves a break so we're going to write this one for her. Harley's backstory is still unclear, but what we have gathered is she is an approximately 6-year-old German Shepherd who is in need of, and very deserving of, a home and family to remind her she is safe and loved. Harley has a medical condition called Pannus, which has resulted in blindness in one eye and the need for lifelong management through eye drops in both eyes. She is struggling with anxiety in the shelter environment, as any dog can, but even more so due to her vision challenges. She is so much more than her medical condition though, and even given this, her disposition continues to be sweet and gentle. She loves being near her humans at the shelter and finds security and comfort in them. We believe she could also potentially do well with another k9 or feline family member in her future forever home as her previous home did include a dog and two cats. She lived with children previously as well and was reported to be house and crate trained. Harley is in need of someone to show her patience as she adjusts to yet another new home. She needs love, care and compassion, but she will also give it back tenfold.
