 Daisy is a sweet girl who would be perfectly happy snuggling up on the couch with her favorite person all day. She still has a playful side, too, and would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors. She's great in the car and could be a lovely walking buddy! Daisy can be nervous around new people and needs time to feel comfortable. Once she warms up, though, she loves attention and affection. She would do best with someone who is patient, understands her boundaries, and can give her a calm, predictable environment. Daisy is looking for a home where she can truly relax without the stress of a busy household, lots of visitors, or constant commotion. Because of her history and specific needs, Daisy must be the only dog in the home and would do best as the only pet. She currently lives with two cats but likes to chase them, so a cat-free home is preferred. No dogs and no small children. Daisy has a history of food and toy aggression toward other dogs and has attacked other dogs in the past. She is not a good fit for a home with children, and a quiet adult-only home would be ideal. A securely fenced yard or a home with safe outdoor space would be wonderful for her. She also has a few quirks: she is uncomfortable with having her paws handled or trimmed, although it can be done patiently, and she strongly prefers carpet or rugs over hard flooring. She may need help adjusting to a home that meets these preferences. Daisy deserves a place where she doesn't have to feel anxious around children or household commotion, and where she can spend her days relaxing indoors, getting affection, and enjoying the simple things she loves. This isn't about finding just any home for Daisy. It's about finding her person - someone who understands that a senior dog may have a few extra needs but still has so much companionship and love to offer.
