Meet Gus! Those EARS! Gus may still be a puppy, but he's already proving that he has a BIG personality and an even bigger brain! This handsome boy is incredibly smart and eager to learn. In fact, he learned to sit after being shown just ONE time! Talk about a quick study! Gus is still figuring out this whole world and learning that some things aren't nearly as scary as they seem. He's working on becoming more comfortable walking on a leash and is discovering that sleeping in a crate all by himself really isn't so bad after all. He's only on day two of potty training and is already making lots of progress! Because Gus is so intelligent, he would absolutely thrive with someone who wants to keep his mind busy and help him reach his full potential. An active family who enjoys training, adventures, or even giving their dog a job would be a fantastic match for this clever boy. With the right guidance, patience, and consistency, Gus has all the potential to grow into a phenomenal dog. Gus is also wonderful about respecting boundaries. He enjoys playing with his foster dog friends, but when they let him know they've had enough and ask him to back off, Gus listens and gives them space right away. He notices the cats around him but isn't particularly interested in bothering them, which is a pretty great quality for a curious puppy! And when it comes to people? Gus is ready to make friends! He would do well with kids and loves having canine companions around. This big-eared, brilliant little guy is just getting started, and we can't wait to see what he becomes. Gus isn't looking for someone who expects him to be perfect—he's looking for someone who sees his potential and wants to help him become the amazing dog we know he can be!
