If you're looking for a dog with brains, loyalty, and a heart that's worth earning, meet Darla! Like many Heelers, Darla is incredibly intelligent and loves having a job to do. She's observant, eager to learn, and forms deep bonds with the people she trusts. Once you're part of her circle, you'll discover what a sweet, devoted companion she truly is. Darla can be a little shy when meeting new people and may take some time to warm up--especially around some men--but patience and kindness go a long way. She'll do best with someone who understands that trust isn't rushed, and that watching a timid dog blossom is one of life's greatest rewards. Darla is looking for an adult-only home, as she's not comfortable living with children. In the right environment, with people who respect her boundaries and appreciate her brilliant mind, she's sure to become an incredibly loyal best friend. If you're ready to invest a little time and a lot of love, Darla is ready to show you just how special she is. Darla's adoption fee is sponsored by an anonymous donor!
