If you want to skip straight to the application: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Here’s Your Quick Peek: Bentley is a handsome 3‑year‑old Standard Poodle who came to CPR as a breeder surrender. He’s gentle, shy, and learning what it means to be part of a family. Bentley is still adjusting to home life and will need a patient adopter who can help him build confidence and trust. He’s especially timid with men and takes longer to warm up to them, so Bentley would do best with a female adopter or in a home where women are his primary caregivers. Once he feels safe, Bentley is affectionate, loyal, and deeply devoted. Bentley loves calm surroundings and steady routines. He’s quiet, polite, and enjoys being near his person. He’s still learning leash skills and will need a secure fenced yard while he continues to gain confidence. Must have: patient adopter, calm environment, fenced yard Exercise: moderate — daily walks and gentle playtime Best with: female adopter, quiet home, another calm dog Not ideal for: chaotic or high‑energy households Energy level: moderate — gentle, affectionate, shy Bentley is a sensitive soul who thrives on kindness and routine. He’s ready to find a peaceful home where he can feel safe, loved, and understood. Good with dogs: yes Good with kids: older, considerate children Cats: Yes Fun fact: Bentley’s gentle eyes say it all — once he trusts you, he’ll be your loyal shadow and lifelong friend. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
