Hi there! My name is Geo and I'm an approximately 18-month-old red Boston Terrier with a big personality and an even bigger heart! I haven't had the easiest start in life. Before coming into rescue, I spent most of my days and nights in a crate, so I missed out on a lot of the things other dogs get to experience. Now that I'm living with my foster family, I'm finally getting the chance to learn how to just be a dog, and boy, am I enjoying it! My foster mom says I'm a sweet, sweet boy who means well, even if I still have a few things to figure out. I'm curious, playful, full of energy, and absolutely love being around people. I'm discovering how wonderful it is to have toys to play with, a cozy place to sleep, and humans who give me all the love and attention I've been missing. I'm slowly getting into the swing of things at my foster home and learning what a daily routine looks like. There's another Boston Terrier here, and I really enjoy playing with her! Sometimes I get a little too excited and forget that not everyone wants to play as much as I do. I'm still learning how to recognize other dogs' boundaries and when it's time to take a break. I would really benefit from a patient family who can provide consistent training, structure, and guidance as I continue learning my manners. I'm doing well with my potty training, but I still need frequent trips outside to help prevent accidents. With a consistent schedule, I'm hoping to keep getting better! One thing I've already figured out is how to settle down for a good night's sleep. I do really well in my crate, especially when my foster family turns down the lights and puts on my sound machine. After a busy day of playing and exploring, I love curling up and getting some rest. I know I still have some growing and learning to do, but I have so much love to give. I'm looking for a family who understands that I didn't get the best start in life and is willing to help me become the best little companion I can be. I know how to walk forward on a leash, but sometimes I get a little excited and pull or zigzag along the sidewalk. With some patience and consistent practice, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it! Likes and Dislikes Toys: I love all kinds of toys! Whether it's a ball, a chew toy, or a soft, cuddly stuffy, I'm happy to play with just about anything. So far, my foster mom says I've been a gentleman with my stuffed toys and haven't torn any apart. Other Animals: I enjoy playing with my foster sister, but I'm still learning how to respect other dogs' boundaries and recognize when they need space. Cats are an unknown. People: I absolutely love spending time with my humans and soaking up all the love and attention I can get! I haven't had the chance to meet any kids while in my foster home yet, so we're not quite sure how I'd do with little humans. Car Rides: I'm a great little travel buddy! I settle right into my crate during car rides and stay nice and quiet. I usually just relax and enjoy the ride without making a peep. Separation: I do really well with some quiet time on my own! A little treat helps encourage me into my crate, and once I'm settled in with my sound machine and dim lights, I curl up and rest without making a peep. I love having a cozy, peaceful space to relax.
