A volunteer writes: Stereo is a handsome and stately cat who finds himself with us as his former family lost their home. I met him just a day after he arrived at the care center. Stereo was in his den, looking stern, apprehensive and lost. He gave a little hiss as I opened his door but remained still. I decided to sit in front of his kennel and talk to him. I placed tasty treats in front of him. No more hissing. He blinked a few times and allowed me to pet his head after smelling my fingers. We need to get to know each other but I feel he is a good guy. Stereo is said to need time to warm up(he can be shy at first) but he is otherwise a friendly, affectionate, talkative and a very playful cat who enjoys staying around people. I have another date with Stereo and I hope that I will see him more relaxed and ready to meet his new family. Stay tuned... What my friends at ACC say about me: I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life. I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
