About Agatha

Meet Agatha, a gentle soul who's ready to steal your heart. At around 2 to 3 years old, this German Shepherd mix weighs about 45 pounds and has a medium size and calm demeanor. Agatha is incredibly affectionate and enjoys walking calmly on a leash, staying close to her human. She comes out of her crate quietly and knows several commands, showing she’s both well-mannered and eager to please. Agatha met over a dozen dogs on her first day and was relaxed around them, a good sign for her future friendships. She's gentle, even with veterinary staff, which makes her a delight to be around. Though she showed interest in cats at the vet, a home without them may be best for now as we continue to assess her behavior. Agatha's journey hasn’t been easy; she was found abandoned on a mountainside in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. Thankfully, she is now receiving heartworm treatment, which Upshot Dog Rescue is covering. They can facilitate her transport, ensuring she finds a loving home in the States where she can rest and recover comfortably. Agatha is house trained and ready to bring her loving personality to a forever home. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
