Meet Agatha, a gentle German Shepherd mix who’s as lovely as she is calm. At about 2-3 years old, she weighs around 45 pounds, perfectly encapsulating the medium size. Agatha has a loving personality that really shines through her gentle demeanor. She walks nicely on a leash, stays close by your side, and demonstrates good manners when coming out of her crate. Agatha is not only affectionate but has also shown a good understanding of commands. Despite being relaxed around other dogs at the rescue, she would likely do best in a home without cats. We're still observing how she interacts with children. Her journey began when she was found abandoned on a mountainside in Puerto Rico, searching for companionship. After a short stint of rescue efforts, she embraced a new lease on life. Agatha tested positive for heartworm, but treatment has already commenced. Upshot Dog Rescue will cover her heartworm treatment and is ready to help transport her to her forever home. She's ready to embark on her next chapter and would love the chance to share her life with you. Every animal deserves a happy ending, and this one starts with you.
