About Dixie
Meet Dixie! Dixie is a 3-year-old gentle giant with a big heart and a goofy smile, ready to share a lot of love and snuggles. This beautiful Lab/Husky mix has decided that she’s earned an early retirement, and honestly, she makes a pretty compelling case. Fully house-trained, Dixie knows her basic commands, including “sit” and “crate.” She adores car rides, leisurely walks, and playing fetch. Most importantly, she relishes those cozy moments curled up on the couch with her person. Dixie is looking for a companion to share life’s adventures. Whether it’s a long walk, a car trip, or a Netflix binge session, she’s all in. While she thrives in social situations, she prefers a quieter lifestyle. She enjoys doggy daycare and gets along well with other dogs at the rescue, but she would be just as happy being the beloved only dog in a peaceful home. If she had her way, Dixie would specify in her adoption profile: “Seeking a calm household, preferably with older kids. No cats, please! My idea of fun is to chase and hug them, which they don’t appreciate.” She’s ready to relax, be cherished, and indulge in her well-deserved early retirement. Spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations, Dixie has excellent manners and expects treats as rewards. Could you be the one she’s been waiting for? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
