Once she knows her environment, she settles in well, though she does thrive with an experienced owner who can establish a strong leadership role. It's important that Halsey has someone who can manage her strength as she tends to be strong and energetic. She adores people and does wonderfully around children, but would prefer to be the only dog in the home or be properly introduced to other pets. Affectionate and cuddly, she particularly enjoys belly rubs. Halsey is quiet but knows when to alert her family if something seems off. Crate-trained and potty-trained, she rides well in vehicles and has already mastered commands like sit. Although she pulls slightly on a leash, a harness helps keep her in check.
