About Shirley

Shirley is a 12-week-old female Pitty mix and a real sweetheart. Initially a bit shy, she quickly transforms into a playful explorer once she feels at ease in a new environment. This gentle little girl is currently in foster care in Austin, Texas, but is available for adoption out of state. Don’t worry, transport can be arranged once she's matched with an approved adopter. Pulled from the Houston city shelter just hours before potential euthanasia, Shirley and her five siblings are now thriving in their foster home. She enjoys playing with her littermates and is always curious about new things around her. Though she hasn't mastered potty, crate, or leash training yet, she's eager to learn with a patient family who can guide her through the puppy stages. Shirley has already attended puppy yoga sessions, which have helped her build confidence and socialize with new people and situations. A home with another friendly dog could be great for her as it provides a wonderful role model to learn from. Bringing a puppy into your home is a significant commitment, but the bond that develops is incredibly rewarding. If you're ready for a loving journey, Shirley can't wait to meet you!
