About Mookie
Meet Mookie! This beautiful Great Pyrenees is around 7 years old and weighs about 70 pounds, but she’s so much more than just her size. Once treated like a "yard dog," Mookie is ready for a real home where she can be loved and cherished as part of the family. Mookie has a calm and gentle nature, displaying affection in her understated way. Instead of jumping around, she prefers to simply stand in front of you, waiting for some gentle pets and scratches on her head and ears. She even rests her muzzle in your hand, a silent plea for your attention. She is fully house-trained but still adjusting to the comforts of indoor living. It might take some time for her to feel at ease inside, as she was previously an outdoor dog. With plenty of patience, some tasty treats, and a doggy door to help her explore, she’ll gradually find her footing. Much like her fellow Pyrs, she enjoys sunbathing in the dirt but also appreciates a calm environment during meals. Other friendly dogs make great companions for her, or she can be a beloved only dog. Mookie has waited too long for the comforts every dog deserves. She’s not asking for much—just a loving home that will allow her to settle in at her own pace. Could you be the forever family she’s looking for? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
