Finn
AvailableFinn is a 2-year-old male mixed breed dog, classified as medium-sized. He has a beautiful merle (blue) coat and is house trained, altered, and up to date with vaccinations. Finn is located in Groveland, MA and is looking for a loving home where he can thrive and form a strong bond with his owner. He wants good food, a cozy home, and someone who can keep him engaged with activities and mental challenges.
About Finn
Finn is an exceptional dog, housetrained, potty trained, and crate trained. He’s fantastic in the car, leash trained, and knows basic commands in both English and Spanish. As a herding dog, he embodies many classic Australian Shepherd traits. This Velcro dog loves to follow you around and requires a job to keep him engaged, whether that’s herding other dogs or even small children. While he reportedly lived well with a cat, he hasn’t been directly tested with one since. Finn shows no prey drive and ignores wildlife. He's a bit insecure, likely due to a past without stability, so he needs a patient and affectionate owner to help him navigate the world. While he is an adorable and loving companion, he requires a dedicated adopter, ideally someone who works from home or can take him to work. A potential owner should either have experience with this breed or be well-informed about the responsibilities that come with it. Finn thrives on mental challenges beyond simple walks, enjoying fetch, lick mats, and treat-hiding games. Currently, he’s getting along well with a 4-year-old and two other dogs, but he does try to herd them, meaning he may not be suitable for homes with very young children. A yard where he can run freely is essential for this energetic boy. If you want a sweet and gentle companion eager for love and adventure, Finn could be the perfect match for you.
