About Ritchie
Meet Ritchie, a charming little guy with a strong build and a soft coat, possibly reminiscent of a Cowboy Corgi. This sweet soul, around two years old, found himself at the Jason Heigl Foundation after being a stray in Bakersfield, California. Initially nervous about human interactions, Ritchie is taking small steps to build trust and discover the kindness he deserves. Ritchie is looking for a forever home or a foster family ready to help him navigate the joys of a safe environment. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and crate trained, so he’s ready to embrace home life. Ritchie is good with other small dogs and loves to spend time exploring the play yard or going for leashed walks. His crate serves as a cozy retreat when he needs a bit of comfort. Since Ritchie hasn’t lived in a home setting yet, he'll need support learning routines and potty habits. His new family should be patient and understanding, as he may need time to feel at ease with new people and situations. Secure fencing and careful supervision are important, as he might bolt if startled. With gentle guidance, structure, and plenty of rewards, Ritchie can blossom into the confident companion he’s meant to be. If you’re ready to give Ritchie the time and love he needs, he’s eager to find his happily-ever-after in Utah. Every brave step he takes deserves to be celebrated and supported. Let’s help him take that journey together. Ready to make a difference in his life?
