About Autumn

Meet Autumn! This sweet 4-year-old yellow Lab mix weighs about 50 lbs and is a delightful presence. She’s easygoing, content to relax on the couch or snuggle next to you in bed. Autumn came to us from a shelter after her family couldn’t care for her anymore. Transitioning from a home to a loud shelter was challenging for her, leading to some shyness. However, once she found a calm space, she truly thrived. Autumn is a tripod; her front right leg was amputated before arriving at the rescue, but it doesn’t hold her back. She loves outdoor adventures and walks well on a loose leash. Mealtime gets her tail wagging, especially when treats like cheese and ham are involved. It’s charming to watch her learn the joys of being a dog—chasing toys and enjoying playtime. She’s incredibly dog-friendly, quickly bonding with her foster siblings. Although she hasn’t met cats or children yet, her kind nature suggests she would adapt well in a gentle home. Autumn is fully house trained and has never had an accident indoors. While she sleeps in her kennel, she prefers being loose in the house when you’re away. Autumn would be happiest in a calm environment, whether as the sole dog or with a furry sibling to share couch time.
