About Peyton
Meet Peyton Manning! This charming, 60-pound, 2-year-old deaf Pit Bull mix is on the lookout for his forever family. Abandoned in Southeast Missouri, Peyton has overcome his rough start, and while his mom and siblings have found their homes, he patiently waits for the right match. Peyton is a delightful blend of couch potato and playful companion. Most of his day revolves around lounging and leaning into cuddles, but every so often, he bursts into zoomies of joy that require a securely fenced yard. With his unique ability to sleep through thunderstorms and fireworks thanks to his deafness, he truly is an impressive sleeper. Despite his past, Peyton approaches each day with a refreshing optimism and love. Socially, he enjoys making friends but can be exuberant in his introductions. He gets along with most dogs but may need a few meet-and-greets to settle in; heβs also content as an only dog. However, Peyton does not do well with cats, so a feline-free home is essential. Due to his size and energy, older kids or an adults-only household would be ideal for him. Peyton is looking for a family that will cherish his unique abilities and offer him a loving home with a comfy couch and room to play. If you want a loyal, entertaining companion, Peyton is ready to join your team!
