About Wilbert

Wilbert urgently needs our help! Abandoned and sad, he has made great progress in housetraining and learning commands during his stay with us. Sadly, while preparing for his neuter, he tested positive for heartworm and requires immediate treatment. This joyful dog deserves a chance at a healthy life, and he’s actively searching for a rescue to continue his care or for donations to cover his treatment, which could total between $1,100 and $1,500. At around 3 years old, Wilbert still has that playful spirit, showing off his fun-loving side and some exuberant puppy-like behaviors. He tends to get excited around other dogs and has shown mild interest in our office cat, so a meet and greet with any resident pets is a good idea to ensure a compatible fit. Wilbert is ready for a loving home where he can enjoy jumping in leaf piles, indulging in pumpkin pie, and snuggling up for inevitable naps. He comes with a microchip, vaccines, and a license. If you're interested in helping this wonderful guy, please consider filling out an adoption application online. Together, we can help Wilbert find his forever home and the care he needs.
