About Lilly

Lilly is a lovely long-legged hound who was once a skinny stray, seeking shelter in a backyard. Rescued from a county shelter, she’s about 7-8 years old and exhibits a calm and gentle demeanor. Currently in her second foster home, Lilly is beginning to come out of her shell, enjoying the company of other dogs and the freedom of a fenced yard. She sees a kennel or crate as a safe refuge and appreciates having her own space when she needs a quiet moment. Lilly is mostly quiet but may find her voice on special occasions. This gentle girl gets along well with other dogs and seems unfazed by cats, having ignored one that jumped into her yard. As she starts to enjoy affection—especially behind the ears and under her chin—Lilly blossoms and shows her appreciation for kindness. She’s still a bit thin and will need to gain some weight before being spayed. However, her appetite is good, and she loves treats like fresh chicken. If you’re searching for a sweet companion who simply gets along with others and enjoys a calm environment, Lilly would be a perfect match. She’s ready for a home where she can thrive and feel safe.
