Luke, also known as Lukey Boy, is an incredibly affectionate approximate 12-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix, weighing in at 57 lbs. Don’t let his age deceive you; Luke is full of vitality and love. His journey began in 2019 when he was found tied to a railroad track, saved just in time from being put down. For years, he enjoyed a caring home until the recent loss of his mom. Now back at Lil Rascals, he’s adjusting to life in a kennel, wondering about his next family. Despite his past, Luke is eager to share his heart with those around him. He adores human companionship and thrives on being with his loved ones, whether that means snuggling on the couch or going for leisurely walks. Luke is known for his warm greetings, making anyone feel like an old friend instantly. Living in a home before, he is house trained and familiar with an apartment setting, as well as using a dog door. He holds his own comfortably when left alone inside and enjoys a leisurely lifestyle. However, Luke does not get along with other dogs or cats, which is his only stumbling block. During walks, he tends to pull on the leash but overall does well. He doesn’t bark much, only expressing himself with the occasional fuss when hungry or wanting attention. Luke loves playing with squeaky toys and fetching tennis balls, proving that age is just a number. He enjoys “poop treats” after bathroom breaks and occasional pup cups at coffee shops.
