About Tuco

Tuco has quite the backstory. He’s a big black cat with a stunning presence and a heart of gold, ready for a loving forever home. His journey started in our rescue as a kitten, but he faced adversity when his adoptee found herself in an abusive situation. To ensure Tuco's safety, she returned him to us. When he came back, he was completely shut down, hiding under blankets and hardly moving. Thanks to a lot of care and patience, Tuco is learning to trust again. While he still tends to be shy around new people, he becomes an affectionate love bug with those he knows, even recently starting to play again. Tuco is good with other cats, though he prefers females and kittens over adult males. At around 2.5 years old, he's looking for the right match. Applications will be thoroughly vetted because no animal deserves what Tuco went through. Could you be the safe place he’s been waiting for? Give Tuco the chance he deserves.
